Christof Vonderau (guitar)
lives in Berlin. After a classical musical education, two years in Brazil participating in different musical projects, ethnomusical studies with stays in New York and Jamaica, he started to develop an expres-sive and calm music resulting in co-operations with artists, theaters and filmmakers.
Already Christof's Solo-CD-Debut Polar (1996) – dedicated to the Danish Greenland explorer Knud Rasmussen – explores the creative range between composition and improvisation, sound and silence, tradition and modernism. It received European wide good response and has been licensed for use in various documentary films.
